EMIS Systems Analyst

Environmental Data Solutions Group, LLC (EDSG) is looking for an energetic team player with experience in Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) compliance and/or technical experience with database software implementation. EDSG is a growing company that specializes in EHS consulting, focusing specifically on the design and deployment of Environmental Management Information Systems (EMISs).

The primary focus of the EMIS Systems Analyst is three-fold:

• Participate in projects from requirements analysis to system design and estimation
• Actively participate and/or lead technical configuration/deployment of new EMISs
• Provide hands-on technical system support/training for existing clients and EMIS software deployments

The qualified candidate will be a self-starter, have excellent organization and communication skills with demonstrated willingness and desire to work technical issues to resolution. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years experience/technical skills in some or all of the following areas:

• General EHS compliance issues
• Configuration/deployment of EMIS commercial software applications
• Configuration/deployment of other commercial software applications: document management, project management, ERP, web collaboration, etc.
• MS Office software: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, MS Project
• Web page/portal development/management
• Web interface design, development and management
• Software programming/scripting: Excel, Access, SQL Server, IIS, ASP, SQL, PL/SQL, MS .Net, perl, JavaScript, XHTML, etc.
• Business analysis and requirements definition
• Data analysis, cleansing, migration
• Development of custom reports using 3rd party reporting tools
• Development and delivery of system training materials
• Technical writing
  • Procedures/test plans
  • Training materials
