Air Permitting - EDSG has provided services related to obtaining permits for wastewater treatment plants, boilers, and engines. Additionally, EDSG has provided Title V permitting services, emissions inventory services, and source testing management.

Spill Prevention Planning - EDSG developed numerous Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasures (SPCC) plans for Eastern pump stations and water and wastewater treatment plants.

JAZZ

Air Permitting - Jazz Semiconductor is a specialty semiconductor manufacturing operation with a fabrication facility operating in Orange County, California. While most fabrication capacity has moved offshore, Jazz continues to operate successfully in the most regulated region of the US. EDSG has been assisting Jazz with air permitting issues for several years. The Jazz permit to operate contains listing and requirements for over 200 tools in place at the facility. EDSG has prepared a comprehensive emissions inventory for the facility, prepared numerous permit applications for new and replacement equipment, assisting Jazz with regulatory agency negotiations, and worked interactively with former site owners to define historic air issues.

Hartwell Corporation

Risk Management Planning - EDSG assessed and developed a Risk Management Program (RMP) Level 1 document addressing the assessment of safe storage practices for an extremely hazardous material stored at this facility.

Major U.S. Airline

Air Permitting - EDSG is providing comprehensive air permitting, emissions inventory and air quality compliance services for this major U.S. airline at several airports in California. Chemical Inventory Management: EDSG conducted a chemical inventory review for operations at LAX. This effort involved physically inventorying over 1000 materials onsite, cataloguing materials by usage area and use type, cross checking with purchasing records, removing outdated and discontinued materials, and assessing compliance with applicable air quality regulations.

Spill Prevention Planning - EDSG developed a SPCC plan for the San Francisco airport operations of this major U.S. airline

Waste Management - EDSG provided waste management compliance services at the LAX airport assisting appropriate management of waste in accumulation areas and 90 storage locations. Efforts were focused on appropriate labeling and shipment offsite within the allowed storage time onsite.

Pacific Energy Group

Air Permitting - Pacific Energy Group is a crude oil pipeline and terminaling company with assets throughout the western United States. Operations consist of transporting crude oil and other dark products from well fields to refineries, as well as storage of these materials for customers as needed. EDSG has worked with Pacific on numerous environmental compliance projects including air permitting, emissions inventories, source testing, spill prevention planning, emergency response planning, wastewater discharge permitting, development of auditing protocols and software, and support of numerous acquisitions and divestitures. In our capacity as Pacifics environmental consultant, our staff has become extensions of Pacifics staff and work seamlessly with Pacific EHS and operations staff to promote cost effective compliant operations with EHS requirements. Currently, EDSG is permitting the first new greenfield marine crude oil receiving terminal in the Ports of Los Angeles/Long Beach in over 20 years. This challenging project includes interaction with regulatory agencies, Port authorities, community groups and environmental groups.

Audit Program Development - EDSG deployed an audit program development and tracking software known as Dakota Auditor for Pacific to allow efficient execution of audits as well as tracking of audit findings over time.

Emergency Response Planning - EDSG assisted with the production of ONE Plans addressing emergency response programs for pipeline spills at Pacific assets in southern and central California.
