Remediation Engineer
Environmental Data Solutions Group, LLC (EDSG) is looking for a dynamic team member with a background in environmental remediation engineering to join our growing company. EDSG is a fast growing company that specializes in Environmental Consulting, focusing specifically on Environmental Investigation and Remediation and the design and deployment of Environmental Management Information Systems (EMISs).
The qualified candidate has a minimum of 8 plus years of experience, ideally more, in providing remediation support on large complex environmental projects. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, has great organizational skills, and an internal sense of responsibility and commitment to the team. Please note that this job opportunity is only for California. The ideal candidate has the following experience and/or qualifications:
- BS in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering; M.S., preferred
- Certified Professional Engineer in the State of California
- Designed Remedial systems for the clean-up of soil and groundwater impacted sites, including but not limited to petroleum, chlorinated solvents and metal impacts
- Experienced in designing, operating, maintaining, and trouble shooting free product recovery systems
- Experienced in Construction Management Oversight and Equipment Vendor Procuring for large scale remediation projects
- Prepared Process and Instrumentation Diagrams
- Experienced in SCADA systems, Telemetry Systems
- Evaluation of data to optimize system performance
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Entrepreneurial mind set with the desire to develop new ways for solving old problems.
- Experienced with negotiating with the regulatory agencies which include the DTSC and the RWQCB
- Ability to assess system performance and develop additional scopes of work.
- Ability to interface with geologists to support remediation systems.
- Proficient with all Microsoft Office products.
- Project Management skills which include budget management and tracking, and client communications
- Proficient and/or knowledgeable of GIS/Key software (preferred)
- 40-Hour OSHA HazWOPER trained
