Field Geologist

Environmental Data Solutions Group, LLC (EDSG) is looking for a dynamic team member with a background in environmental geology to join our growing company. EDSG is a fast growing company that specializes in Environmental Consulting, focusing specifically on Environmental Investigation and Remediation and the design and deployment of Environmental Management Information Systems (EMISs).

The qualified candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in consulting specializing in providing geology support and working on large complex environmental projects. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, have great organizational skills, and an internal sense of responsibility and commitment to the team. Please note that this job opportunity is only for California. The ideal candidate will have the following experience and/or qualifications:

Working on large scale and complex drilling projects
Excellent writing skills and the ability to prepare multi-faceted complex reports
Installation of groundwater monitoring wells, borings, geoprobes and CPTs
Oversight of drillers during the installation of the wells
Ability to construct boring logs and geologic cross sections from field data
Ability to assess field findings and recommend next scopes of work
Provide excellent client service
Understanding of State and Local Regulatory Agency requirements
Interface with the project team to support multitude of tasks
Subcontractor Management and Oversight
Excellent communication skills
Proficient with all Microsoft Office Products
Proficient and/or knowledgeable of GIS/Key Software

This position will also require the individual to provide oversight in the field for a large drilling program which will be for a one year period.
